This will be a one day class in which the beginner artist will learn to cut and piece together their very first fused glass art object! It can be a piece a jewelry, a paper weight, a small bowl or plate, or just get creative. The idea is to become comfortable in working with glass and the beginning elements of fusing.  Fusing can involve learning firing schedules if you hope to purchase your own small kiln and create objects in your home.  It will be a fun couple of hours and you will have a piece to pick up within a few days! Give Joe a call for me details at the number above.

Christmas Wine and Cheese Party, December 10, 2011 4:00-9:00p

Stop in for a glass of wine and a few nibbles and pick up some great Christmas gifts for friends and family.  We will have jewelry, small functional pieces (bowls, boxes and plates) as well as our usual array of stunning stained and fused glass pieces for hanging.  We realize these are difficult economic times and "affordability" is the word for 2011! Join us at Glass Art Designs for all your Christmas needs.

Classes will be held in our working studio, 1807 W. Sunnyside, free parking available and one block from Montrose Brown line El stop.  Courses will present the opportunity to learn the techniques of design & composition, cutting glass in a variety of shapes to produce simple but appealing works, and have a piece to take home by the end of the last class session. If you would like to be notified of future classes not yet posted, please email me at info@glassartdesigner.com with your name, address, email and the type of class you might be looking for.
